About The Project
The County of Lake has a rich tapestry of outdoor experiences for residents and visitors - offering lakeside parks, beaches, and boating, and hiking trails. The County oversees 28 parks and public recreation facilities in the County, and provides important services, access, and amenities to the residents and visitors alike. The Parks, Recreation, and Trails Master Plan will provide a roadmap for parks improvements, maintenance and operations to improve the value, visibility, and availability of these important assets while promoting resilience to climate change impacts. The County has contracted with BluePoint Planning help the County use the parks and develop information to guide ongoing improvements and decisions.
Project Timeline
The Parks, Recreation and Trails Master Plan kicked off in Fall of 2022 and is expected to be completed in the late summer of 2023. Over the next 12 months, there will be a number of community involvement opportunities to weigh in on the future of the County's parks, recreation programs, and future trails.
